Two homecomings in one week.

You know when Kinsley started 9th grade all she talked about was wanting to make the homecoming court that year. You see her sisters had made it when they were in the 9th grade, and she thought she had some living up to do. She may have used that to sway voters and, if so, it worked. Actually, she made the court her 10th and 12th grade year, too.

It's so hard to believe its been a year...

Talking about pulled between the two. We knew Beth was having Mac around the first of October, so went shopping for her  homecoming dress a little earlier than we normally do.  In case we got the call to come sooner. One of her friends Taylor McAnally, who was on the homecoming court the same years as Kinsley, always went with us. Taylor's mom and I would go along........to write the check. We had a lot of fun.  A lot of memories.

Ryan brings Beth and baby Mac home on a Monday and, of course, we are there (somebody gotta make pictures).  No really, we were there to show them how it's done. Lol!!!  Like swaddling a baby!!

Anyway, homecoming is that Friday night so we get up early early Friday morning, and we make it back home just in time for the pep rally. Kinsley's escort was Zach Barnett (a friend also).  They were lookin' good, but that night even better.  I gotta say, those two always dressed nice, but they really spiffed it up. Sammy and I were some proud parents that night, but honestly we were proud parents all the time.  : )

Nikki, Kinsley's oldest sister, teaches and coaches cheerleading at another school (Belmont) close by, and her boss let her off so she could come and be with us, and for that we are grateful.

We get up the next morning, load up three of those round bales of hay and head back to Jacksonville. Beth said, hay was to expensive there so we sneezed all the way back. Oh, I forgot to tell y'all, our girls think they are all an only child but that's our fault. Lol.  I stayed about two weeks to help Beth out. Sammy had to work so he flew in and out of Jax's airport. What you do for your kids, right?  But we wouldn't have it any other way.

Kinsley never had any homecoming pictures taken professionally. I told her I wished she would this last year, so I assumed she didn't. A few days after her funeral we were going through her backpack, so we could return her books. We found this picture packet. Just Beautiful!!!!

Dear Lord,
My tears are many. Oh, how I miss my Kinsley. Would you hold her extra tight for me tonight. I often think of the greatest Homecoming of them all. You know my heart, Lord. Amen.
